Description

Sports Medicine encompasses the management of a broad range of injuries and medical conditions. It caters for people who participate in sports to those who enjoy exercise or would like to start exercising. The doctors at Elmwood Medical Practice are aware of the benefits of exercise for physical and mental health wellbeing. We actively promote exercise for the benefit of all age groups.

Not all muscle and joint pains are attributable to sport. Our service caters for joint and muscle pains whether related to sports or not. Dr O'Donovan has a Master's Degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine and extensive experience in sports and musculoskeletal injuries.

We liase with local orthopaedic surgeons, radiologists, physiotherapists and dieticians to provide a multidisciplinary approach to injury and activity.
